June 2018 Happy Planner Spreads

Today I thought it might be fun to share a little flip through of my Happy Planner for the month of June. If you are a planner, or if the thought of creative planning is intriguing to you, I hope you'll enjoy these photos! I love seeing all the pretty planner photos as I scroll through my Instagram feed. The planner community is so inspiring to me, and I hope to do the same for others.

So here we go. I'll start with my monthly spread. When I started creative planning in January, the monthly spreads intimidated me. I wasn't sure how to use the space, what to fill in, etc. But now they are some of my favorites! I try to utilize my washi tape and box stickers for my monthly spreads, and keep it relatively simple (Colorful Boxes sticker book FTW). For June, I'd been eyeing these palm stickers for a while, so I decided to pair them with pink and black, and I love the color combination!

I continued with the palm trees for the first week in June as well. I love these two rolls of tape in particular because they can go with basically any color! (I believe they are from Hobby Lobby.)

This week was all about the lemons. I had planned a baby shower using lemons as decor the weekend prior so this week was dedicated to making lemonade and lemon desserts! I love the lemon washi tape (from Michaels) and little stickers. I also loved this blah, blah, blah sticker, which was perfect for work on a Monday after a long weekend!

I finally got the Squad Goals sticker book! How cute are these girls floating around on their floats and laying out on their towels? So summery + these are my absolute favorite colors!

I was a slacker this last week. We had an incredibly busy weekend and I didn't even get a chance to sit down and create this spread until Wednesday and when I did, I made it as quickly as I could and tried to keep it simple. The large box sticker on Tuesday of this week (with the pink watercolors and the numbers) spoke to me, so I used my Watercolor sticker book and coordinated the rest of the spread to match this box. Since it was already halfway through the week, I forgot to get a before shot, so here's my #afterthepen

I think my favorite thing about the Happy Planner is the ability to take pages in and out + all the options for additional accessories there are! I have the Happy Planner Girl Daydreamer planner, which has horizontal weekly layouts (shown above). Back in April I got a 6 month extension pack because I was loving all the vertical spreads I was seeing on Instagram and wanted to give it a try. So for April and May I took the horizontal weekly pages out and replaced them with vertical spreads. It was so much fun to mix it up, but for June I decided to switch back to horizontal. After switching back and forth a couple times, I actually think that I prefer the vertical! When I bought this planner, I loved that it was horizontal because that's what I've always used and gotten used to, but creating vertical spreads to me is easier and more fun. For this week (the first week in July) I did a vertical spread, because I liked how it looked with all the red, white and blue stickers that I had! I'm not sure what I'll do for the remainder of July. I guess you'll have to check back next month and find out (or follow my Instagram!)

Do you use a planner? If you do creative planning, do you prefer a horizontal or vertical layout? Do you ever find a sticker that your entire spread then revolves around? If you do not use a planner, how do you stay organized and keep up with plans? Is there an app that you use on your phone?

Thanks for popping by!
